It’s not like “bhabie” was right there in her name or anything.
Boxer Adrien Broner, 30, is in the hot seat Friday after being put on blast by 16-year-old viral rap stripling Bhad Bhabie, née Danielle Bregoli, for creeping on her via Instagram.
Broner, a 33-4 pro, direct-messaged Bregoli on Instagram, writing “text me crazy girl.” Bregoli responded by posting a screenshot of the message, along with the Akon song “Locked Up,” an apparent reference to their age discrepancy.
Bregoli’s fanbase mobilized around the icky situation, flooding Broner’s own page with comments and tagging organizations like the FBI and Atlanta Police Department.
Broner later called the situation an “honest mistake,” telling the Shade Room that, “Nobody want to date a kid.”
“I fault Instagram for not having people’s age on they profile,” he added. “I thought she was grown the way she out here moving.”
In December, Broner was ordered to pay $830K for sexually assaulting a woman in Cleveland nightclub in 2018. He faced misdemeanor battery and sexual-battery charges for similar incidents in Las Vegas and Atlanta in 2016 and 2018, respectively, as well.
