Monika Dannemann Jimi choked on his own vomit at the London home of lover Monika Dannemann
MUSIC icon Jimi Hendrix was rock’s greatest guitarist — and lover — bedding countless gals before his early death at age 27, a shocking new book claims.
The Purple Haze strummer plunged into trysts with hundreds of willing groupies in the ’60s before he fatally choked on his own vomit while stoned on barbiturates at the London pad of his galpal Monika Dannemann, a German figure skater and painter, on Sept. 18, 1970.

His famous lovers included movie sex symbol Brigitte Bardot, according to Philip Norman’s Wild Thing: The Short, Spellbinding Life of Jimi Hendrix. He writes the American star had a two-day fling with Bardot after meeting her at a French airport. However, the sultry French film star said it never happened!

Meanwhile, the book, due Sept. 15, reports Hendrix hooked up with Janis Joplin, who also died of a heroin overdose like many at that time.

The book also reports a rumored tryst with the blond photog who would later become Paul McCartney’s great love and wife, Linda.
Jimi’s galpal Fayne Pridgon, the inspiration for his hit Foxy Lady, gave the guitar master top marks as a lover, saying the Axis: Bold as Love legend was “relentless in the sack. There would be encore after encore after encore,” the author writes.

One gal who regretted turning him down was rockstunner Marianne Faithfull, then the girlfriend of Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, according to the book.
Oozing confidence, the All Along the Watchtower player hit on Marianne while Mick was nearby and incredibly asked her what she was doing with “that a**hole,” says the book. To be continued–
