For a rapper who once penned the line “my presence is a present,” Kanye West certainly knows how to splurge on extravagant gifts.

Kanye had the purr-fect present for his then-girlfriend in September 2012: a white teacup Persian kitten named Mercy, after his own hit song. The cat was featured on “Kourtney and Kim Take Miami,” in an episode where Kim drunkenly thought she’d lost her pet. Tragically, Mercy died in December 2012.

While West, and wife Kim Kardashian are headed for divorce after six years of marriage, the couple shared many special occasions together over the course of their relationship, rarely missing out on the opportunity to shower each other with exorbitantly expensive shows of affection.

Below, a look back at some of the Grammy winner’s wildest presents for his superstar spouse over the years, from customized Cartier bling to Hermès bags to a hologram of Kim’s late father.

Kanye bestowed a bevy of additional Cartier baubles on Kim in January 2013, including yet another diamond-studded Panthère de Cartier bracelet ($91,500), a pavé diamond Love bangle ($42,100) and a giant yellow gold Juste Un Clou bracelet($37,700).

You know, it’s amazes me on how someone who didn’t academically work for her success lands the most eligible bachelors. Then receives such lavish gifts, and then on top of that she’s still one of the most request in plastic surgeons procedures. It goes to show, beauty, can get you further than someone with talents and hard work.
