Kanye West’s most over-the-top gifts for Kim Kardashian over the years

For a rapper who once penned the line “my presence is a present,” Kanye West certainly knows how to splurge on extravagant gifts.

While West, and wife Kim Kardashian are headed for divorce after six years of marriage, the couple shared many special occasions together over the course of their relationship, rarely missing out on the opportunity to shower each other with exorbitantly expensive shows of affection.

Below, a look back at some of the Grammy winner’s wildest presents for his superstar spouse over the years, from customized Cartier bling to Hermès bags to a hologram of Kim’s late father.

Kanye bestowed a bevy of additional Cartier baubles on Kim in January 2013, including yet another diamond-studded Panthère de Cartier bracelet ($91,500), a pavé diamond Love bangle ($42,100) and a giant yellow gold Juste Un Clou bracelet($37,700).

You know, it’s amazes me on how someone who didn’t academically work for her success lands the most eligible bachelors. Then receives such lavish gifts, and then on top of that she’s still one of the most request in plastic surgeons procedures. It goes to show, beauty, can get you further than someone with talents and hard work.

Kanye picked up a $36,700 Panthère de Cartier bracelet for Kim’s 32nd birthday in 2012, later springing for another feline-themed bauble on Valentine’s Day 2013. A style similar to the latter diamond-encrusted version retails for a whopping $137,000
Not even those engagement fireworks in San Francisco’s AT&T Park could compare to the sparkler West used to propose. In October 2013, the rapper got down on one knee with a 15-carat Lorraine Schwartz ring worth an estimated $2 million.
While many celebrities have an Hermès Birkin bag in their closet, it’s safe to say this one stands out from the rest. For Christmas 2013, Kanye commissioned artist George Condo to customize a Birkin with a surrealist painting of nude figures, to Kim’s apparent delight.
Kanye presented Kim with a wall of flowers for Mother’s Day in 2014, a sweet-scented surprise that seemingly doubled as an Instagram backdrop. He also bought her “a thousand roses” for Valentine’s Day the same year — only to outdo himself in 2015, when he sent “a couple thousand roses” to her hotel room in Brazil.
Kanye ditched the roses in 2018, instead opting for a bizarre red floral displaysuspended from the ceiling as an early birthday gift for his wife.
While it was rumored that Kanye purchased 10 Burger King locations in Europe as a wedding gift for his reality-royalty fiancée in 2014, the fast food company has since denied the claims. It wasn’t the first time he’d have beef with the burger joint; Burger King’s Twitter account trolled Kanye when he named McDonald’s as his favorite restaurant in 2018.
In 2014, Kanye commissioned Kim’s birthday gift from an up-and-coming artist: the couple’s then-16-month-old daughter, North West. The tot covered a leather-trimmed canvas Hermès Herbag ($3,775) with colorful splotches of paint. “I had thought it was this new artist who had painted this purse [but] it was my daughter. It was amazing,” Kim told Us Weekly at the time.
“I like the idea of a push present,” Kim wrote on her website in 2015, while pregnant with baby Saint. “This pregnancy, I would love a Lorraine Schwartz diamond choker, like the ones I’ve worn before to the Art + Film Gala. Too much? LOL!”
Apparently not, because lo and behold, Kanye surprised her with the pricey piece — valued at around $1 million — after their son’s birth.
Turns out, one ring just wasn’t enough. In 2016, Kanye upgraded Kim’s engagement bling, gifting her this massive 20-carat, emerald-cut Lorraine Schwartz sparkler worth around $4.5 million. Sadly, the star didn’t have much time to enjoy her new rock; it was stolen during her horrifying Paris robbery that same year, along with millions more dollars’ worth of her jewelry.
What do you get for the star who has everything? Stocks, apparently. As a Christmas gift in 2017, the “Famous” rapper gave Kim tons of stocks from companies including Adidas, Amazon, Disney and Netflix — along with little items representing each brand, like a Mickey Mouse stuffed toy and Adidas socks.
