Denzel Washington got misty-eyed while discussing his eldest son John David in a rare show of public emotion on Sunday.
It came after the New York Times ranked the legendary 66-year-old ‘the greatest actor of the 21st century’ in November.

‘It’s about time,’ the 36-year-old Tenet action star told Access Hollywood last month.
‘I think he is one of the greatest to ever do it so it was a very proud moment for our entire family.’
Upon hearing John David’s praise, Denzel told the same outlet: ‘Wow. I’m speechless. I forgot what the question was but I’m speechless. You know, I didn’t know he said that.’
