Travis could be at risk of kidney failure, a doctor warns Barker’s daughter posted from the rocker’s bedside Kourtney Kardashian supported her hubby during his hospitalization

BOOZE brought rock drummer Travis Barker back to the hospital to battle a life-threatening case of pancreatitis, according to concerned doctors!

Kourtney Kardashian’s new hubby, 46, was rushed to Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles with a frightening, life-threatening case of the condition, which was reportedly caused by a colonoscopy gone bad. But doctors consulted by The National ENQUIRER believe his condition may be due to or at least worsened by his admitted toxic history of alcohol, marijuana, and opioid abuse!

“The effects of that kind of self-destructive behavior just don’t go away, and now it seems he might be paying the price,” says New York internist Dr. Stuart Fischer.

Travis complained of crippling stomach cramps, and insiders said both he and Kourtney, 43, were “worried.” The musician’s condition seemed dire when he tweeted “God Save Me” the day he was admitted to the hospital. And his daughter posted an Instagram story showing her father in a hospital bed that evening, saying, “Please send your prayers.”

Despite claiming he’s been sober since 2008 after surviving a terrible plane crash that left him with burns on over 60 percent of his body, physicians believe Travis’ past behavior is likely a factor in his current condition.

“A colonoscopy seems a strange explanation for his condition,” notes eminent Florida oncologist Dr. Jerome Spunberg. “Alcohol abuse is one of the key causes of pancreatitis — even if it is in the past. “Even if he’s reformed, his old habits could have been a trigger to inflammation that can cause kidney failure, cancer or diabetes and can be fatal if not treated properly.”
