SNAKE-IN-THE GRASS scoutmaster Mark Chapman copped a plea and will serve long prison sentences for sexually abusing two Boy Scouts in the Detroit area, including assaults in a Mormon church where he was a member!

Chapman, 51, actually went from one prison to another. He was paroled after serving nine years in New York for sex crimes and immediately turned over to authorities in Michigan.

“Mark Chapman is alleged to have abused children for years,” says Michigan Attorney General Dana Nessel. “He threatened them with violence when they refused to participate or tried to stop him when he was continuing his assaults. He is the source of their pain, their psychological scars and their mental anguish.”

The sex creep began abusing one of his victims when the boy was about 13 and continued until he was 17. The other kid was assaulted starting at the age of 11 and his torment also went on for years.

Chapman was slapped with the maximum 20-year sentence for one crime and up to 15 years on the other. His lockup will be served concurrently in the Michigan Department of Corrections.

In February 2022, the Boy Scouts of America reached a tentative $2.6 billion settlement after about 80,000 men claimed they were molested by scout leaders.

Now Nessel insists Chapman’s sentence “sends a clear message that those who prey upon children will be punished.”
