The royal couple vow to keep calm and focus on family amid Prince Harry’s hurtful allegations.
In public, Prince William and Princess Kate have always tried to do the right thing. Whether they’re boosting a charity or attending an event, they’ve presented themselves in a warm, dignified, approachable manner. In TV interviews and in Spare, his new memoir, William’s younger brother, Prince Harry, throws a much less flattering light on the couple — leaving them hurt and angered by his betrayal. “Behind closed doors, it’s chaos, but William and Kate are leaning on each other, putting on a brave front for the cameras and keeping calm,” explains a royal insider. “William is struggling to remain tight-lipped and wants to address the situation once the dust has settled.”
The prince, who is painted as an entitled bully in Harry’s book, admits that he and his brother have “bickered like siblings” since childhood, according to the insider, but insists they have always been close. “In William’s view, his relationship with Harry started to slide sideways after he began dating Meghan.” However, he and Kate don’t just blame her. “They say that Harry is old enough to make his own decisions.”
CARRYING ON
There is currently no contact between the brothers, and it’s undecided if Harry and Meghan will be invited to King Charles’ coronation in May. Kate and William, meanwhile, have been shielding their three children from Harry’s hurtful comments. “They are standing by their family,” explains the insider, who says the couple is looking forward to this drama dying down. “They know Harry has a great life in California,” says the insider. “They feel he needs to move on and work on projects that don’t involve slamming the royal family.”
MY COMMENTARY
-KISHASlammiong the Royal Family they say? Ha, the royal family press has been lynching Meghan (especially) for many years. And as soon as they get a chance to tell their story. They’re told to keep quiet.
CAN WE SAY, HYPOCRITES?!
