FOX News’ top hosts and ratings-getters may be on the chopping block in a desperate attempt by network bigwigs to save their own skins and clean house after the cable news channel’s blatant, cynical lies about the 2020 election were exposed in damning testimony given under oath.

The looming bloodbath — involving hosts Tucker Carlson, Sean Hannity and Laura Ingraham — is tied to a $1.6 billion lawsuit against FOX by Dominion Voting Systems, which claims the network and its stars defamed the firm when they claimed voting machines were rigged as part of a conspiracy to steal votes from former President Donald Trump to ensure Joe Biden’s victory. But sources tell Carlson, Hannity and Ingraham are sacrificial lambs — who were just following the company line — saying on air what bigwig execs ordered even though the hosts knew it was hogwash!

“Laura, Tucker and Sean were told to pump these lies on air by the network’s bosses when they knew for a fact Trump’s claims about a rigged and stolen election were untrue,” says the insider. Now they are being served up as scapegoats to save the network and take the fall for the scandal.

“The suits will do anything to save themselves and the company!”

The bombshell revelations about the FOX scandal came in depositions filed in the Dominion lawsuit, where Carlson, Hannity and Ingraham admitted their part in the sham.

In one example, Tucker, 53, wondered on air how a “senile hermit” like Joe Biden scored 15 million more votes than former President Barack Obama did while saying in a behind-the-scenes group chat that key election denier, attorney Sidney Powell, was “dangerous” and Trump was a “demonic force.”

Blowhard Hannity, 61, reported to his 2 million-plus viewers “every American should be angry” and “outraged” over “what has happened in the election” while chirping off air that Trump was acting like an “insane” person by claiming the contest had been stolen.

An insider insists, It’s a huge black eye for the network. For these hosts to spew on air about one thing while saying exactly the opposite in private casts doubt on everything they say on a nightly basis.

“The audience will understandably feel duped and heads are going to have to roll to make things right!”

Sources say the push to promote the stolen election line came from execs when FOX’s ratings dropped after the network was the first to correctly declare Biden the 2020 election winner.

Thousands of FOX viewers flocked to the more rabid Newsmax channel, where prime-time viewership shot from 58,000 the week before the election to 568,000 the week after.

Dominion insists FOX execs decided to push stolen election claptrap to lure their audience back.

Sources say while Tucker and Sean bring in “big ratings,” they’ve both had their share of scandals over the years that have previously thrown their credibility and reputations into question.

“Tucker is only two months removed from suppressing anti-Semitic remarks made by Kanye West in an interview, and Hannity is way too close to Trump for comfort,” says the source.

“That would probably be overlooked if it weren’t for his dwindling ratings, which calls everything into question.”

Meanwhile, this is not the first time that FOX News hosts were shown to parrot one thing on air while privately saying something else behind the scenes.

In late 2021, text messages surfaced in the U.S. Congress’ investigation into the Jan. 6 Capitol Hill riot showing both Hannity and Ingraham imploring former White House Chief of Staff Mark Meadows to have Trump call off his supporters as the insurrection was ongoing.

However, on air, Ingraham reported leftist Antifa thugs triggered the riot while Hannity claimed ignorance over who was exactly to blame for the violence.

“There’s a lot of money on the line with this Dominion lawsuit and the thinking is that the network cannot be exposed in a similar way in the future,” says the insider. “That’s driving the agenda right now — and a $1.6 billion payout could destroy FOX.”

Sources also dish desperate execs are eyeing FOX late-night host Greg Gutfeld, conservative podcast host Joe Rogan and right-wing comedian Roseanne Barr as potential replacements if the three stars are axed.

“The current justification is Sean, Laura and Tucker’s success is due more to the FOX News brand and platform than whatever they uniquely offer,” says the source. “Not to mention they make a ton of money and have enormous egos.

“There’s a call for change behind the scenes and it’s seemingly getting louder and louder! But unlike Lou Dobbs, who got canned after being tied to the Dominion scandal, Laura, Tucker and Hannity aren’t likely to go quietly.”
