Rebel Dems beg Michelle to run for White House

DESPERATE Democrats are down on their knees begging former First Lady Michelle Obama to challenge floundering President Joe Biden in the 2024 party primaries — even though her husband has publicly backed the scandal-scarred chief executive’s bid for a second term!
Following the 80-year-old president’s announcement that he’ll seek a second term, Democratic Party insiders reveal his critics are mounting a “full-scale push” to recruit the most popular woman in American politics as their candidate — convinced the gaffe-prone commander-in-chief is a loser.
“Let’s face it, no one is excited about a potential second Biden presidency and that includes die-hard Democrats,” says a Beltway source, who notes recent polls show 54 percent of Americans think Joe is doing a lousy job.
“Someone else has to take on the party mantle and stop the current Republican frontrunner, former President Donald Trump, in his tracks.”
Another party operative predicts convincing 59-yearold Michelle to run would turn the general election from a tooth-and-nail fight for Democrats to a virtual shoo-in.
“There are very few people on the American political landscape who have the star power and charisma and brand name that Michelle would bring to the table,” says the operative. “She’d be the automatic favorite to win even before she opens her mouth for a speech!”
The source adds Biden — whose family is caught in mounting money and bribery scandals — will likely be severely damaged goods by the time the election rolls around while Michelle has a clean slate.
“The GOP is going to dig under every rock in Joe’s past now that they have control of the House,” the operative says. “This is the last straw for many Democrats, especially since the Bidens can’t seem to put out the raging fire.”
The drive to draft Michelle comes as Biden faces an open rebellion from Democrats gobsmacked by his decison to run in 2024–not withstanding endorsments by his former boss, President Barack Obama, and still influential Hillary Clinton. But donors are considering alternative choices-including declared canididate Robert Kennedy Jr.–and some elected officials like New York Democrat Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez have refused to endorse Joe.
“Biden has a lot of baggage,” says a Republican strategist. He was the oldest elected president in our nations’s history at 78 and has shown what many have branded an obvioys cognitive decline since assuming office.
“Throw in the crisis at border, historic inflation and the botched pull-out from Afghanistan and he has weakness as a canididate that Republicans can exploit.”
Still sources say Michelle’s boosters within the party face an uphill fight, especially since the Harvard-trainded lawyers husband has declared himself in Biden’s corner. But Barack is known for his political expendiency and could change course in a heartbeat if Biden’s poll numbers sink lower or the incumbent commits another glaring blooper, a political analyst says.
Meanwhile, Michelle’s political stock will only continue to rise as she coyly sits on the sidelines, The mother of two has previously nixed an interest in a White House campaign and is focusing instead in conquering Tinsleytown with a growing portfolio of cash churning media deals.
“But she knows the stakes of republican victory and she’s not one to shirk her duty to the country,” says the operative. In the meantime, sources say there’s little love lost between the Bidens and the Obamas after Joe’s two terms as Barack’s No.2.
Michelle “never forgave” Joe for skipping Barack’s 60th birthday party on Martha’s Vinetyard in 2021 by labelinhg it a COVID
“super-spreader event,” says a sourcem who insists the “bad blood” would make it “a lot easier for her to challenge him. The country is facing historic adversity and Biden is an unpopular president, There’s simply too much on the line for her not to run.”
