SUSPECTED MOBSTERS ARRESTED FOR BRAZEN $2M DIAMOND HEISTS

FIVE mobsters with ties to the Lucchese and Genovese crime families made off with about $2 million in bling during a pair of bold armed heists in the Big Apple, lawmen say.

Frank DiPietro, 65, Vincent Cerchio, 69, Vincent Spagnuolo, 65, Michael Sellick, 67, and Samuel Sorce, 25, are accused of donning orange and yellow duds to pose as construction workers to skulk around their marks undetected.

Cops claim in January the old codgers targeted a ritzy Madison Avenue gem joint, which counts Rihanna and Beyoncé as customers. A criminal complaint states DiPietro pointed his pistol at a store employee and demanded the loot, then Sellick told the terrified worker to “turn around and get in the closet.”

Lawmen say the geezer gangsters — who all have lengthy rap sheets — made off with multiple pieces of high-end diamond jewelry, including a 73-carat necklace, six-carat ring and 17-carat pair of earrings, and fled with their two accomplices.

The complaint charges the brazen bandits used the same MO four months later, with DiPietro and Sellick hitting a Chinatown jewelry spot — and Sorce and Spagnuolo serving as their getaway drivers in two separate cars!

The accused were each slapped with conspiracy, robbery and firearms charges. According to prosecutors, if found guilty the men could be put on ice for nearly five decades — which could become death sentences for the sexagenarian suspects!

Grizzled goon DiPietro, also known as Frankie the Fish, has already done hard time. The Lucchese associate served 19 years in federal prison after being hooked for killing a mob snitch!
