The recent trailer for the upcoming Lifetime documentary “Where Is Wendy Williams?” has caused concern due to the former chat show host’s apparent dire situation. Wendy, whom is 59 years old, is depicted with expressions of wide-eyed concern and at times, an evident display of impairment as she states, “I have no monetary assets. I must reveal that in my current state, the same could happen to anyone.”
Due to issues related to health and substance abuse, Wendy’s talk show was canceled two years prior and she was subsequently subjected to a financial guardianship. She allowed the filmmakers “unmatched access” to document her efforts to regain the fame she had once enjoyed, however, not everyone was in agreement. Wendy’s son, Kevin Hunter Jr, expresses his apprehension, stating that “Mom has always made it appear as though everything is alright, but in reality, something is wrong,” noting that she is surrounded by individuals who exploit her decline.
The resulting image from the documentary is rather bleak. While insiders have declared that Wendy wished to present her perspective on the matter, what the documentary has unveiled is a troubling peek into her life. She appears to no longer possess a hold on her finances or her mental facilities.
“Oh, my Wendy, how did you allow this to happen?”
