IN A cold-blooded, gangland-style killing, a Wisconsin teenager has been charged in the fatal shooting of his girlfriend’s adoptive parents after a dispute over social distancing.

Khari Sanford, 18, allegedly shot Dr. Beth Potter, 52, and her husband, 57-year-old Robin Carre, in the back of the head, according to authorities.

“This was a brutal execution,” Dane County assistant district attorney William Brown said.

The horrific slaughter came after Sanford and the couple’s daughter, Miriam, were ousted from Beth and Robin’s house for not following rules connected to the coronavirus pandemic.

But then, authorities said, it turned into a murder for money after Miriam was overheard telling Sanford her parents had “bands” of money and they were rich.

The “bands” likely meant thousands of dollars in cash.

A jogger found the couple in a recreational area near the Madison campus of the University of Wisconsin on March 31.

Robin, who was wearing only underwear, was dead. Beth, who was clad in pajamas and socks, died soon after she was taken to a hospital.

Sanford and an alleged accomplice, Ali’jah Larrue, 18, are charged with homicide. Bail for both suspects was set at $1 million.
