Ready for another comeback?

On June 20, will.i.am teased that he and Britney Spears might release a new collab.
“We’ve done cool things together, and I’m so happy that she’s on this new journey and shining,” the 48-year-old told Good Morning Britain, adding, “she’s still got hurdles, but you know what, we’re all there to support her. Her latest hurdle: money — or lack thereof.
The 41-year-old has been hemorrhaging cash since the November 2021 end of the conservatorship that controlled every aspect of her life for 13 years, an insider tells Star. “The bills are pouring in and Britney’s financial people are telling her if it carries on this way, she’ll be broke by the end of the year, if not sooner.” The trouble is, the pop princess is clueless about capital, explains the insider. “She doesn’t really understand how things work.” Case in point: The insider says she asked her record label for money. “As far as she’s concerned, they owe her money, but they shut her down.”

Now worth an estimated $70 million, the “Oops, I Did It Again” singer has claimed her father, Jamie Spears, siphoned off millions from her during his tenure as her conservator. Yet the mom of two is outspending her resources. In March, she sold her Calabasas mansion at a $2 million loss just months after purchasing it for $12 million. Plus, says the insider, “she’s still on the hook for lawyers’ fees and child support payments.” (Husband Sam Asghari, a wannabe actor, barely contributes to the coffers.)
But Britney balks at talk of budgeting. “She isn’t going to let anyone tell her what to do with her money,” says the insider. “It’s a way for her to feel freedom.”
