ROYAL runaways Harry and Meghan are pulling out all the stops to launch their new palace-free life in California.
But their first charm offensive exposed them as phonies, sources spilled.
Within days of officially ending their royal duties on March 31 and moving to L.A. with baby Archie, Meghan signed up to volunteer with Project Angel Food, which provides free meals to the needy.
“She said she wanted Harry to see her home city ‘through the eyes of philanthropy’ and arranged for them to make meal deliveries to vulnerable and critically ill people who are unable to leave their homes during the COVID-19 pandemic,” a source revealed.
“But Meghan had to know word would get out about their mission — and she used it for publicity!” The do-gooders, though, goofed up on the optics.
“They distributed supplies from the back of a $90,000 luxury Porsche SUV one day, and a $60,000 Cadillac XT5 the second,” said sources.
